1. Choose a topic from U.S. History 1900-1980.Your topic could be a person or an event.
Example Battle of Midway (W.W.II) or Thurgood Marshall check with Mr. Holmes for topic approval.
2. Find information about your topic from at least 2 different sources. You will have to site those sources in
your project.
3. Make a 1 page draft layout on paper. Put the information that tells the story down on paper. include 3-4
paragraphs of text and 1-2 images and 1 orlinks to other web sites with useful information about your
topic.
4. Use netscape composer, Microsoft word, or anotherpage maker program to create an HTML document.
HTML is the language computers use to read and post web pages.
5. Specifications for Web page
A. A Title must appear at the top (in the title bar)
B. Put a heading using 18 pt font at the top of the page.
C. Put 3 or 4 paragraphs of information about your topic. Do not plagiarize text from other websites
or books.
D. Put at least one graphic on the page. Do not use a copyrighted image. Be sure to give
credit if you use a graphic from a web site. You can find non copyrighted
graphics by searching for them on "Google." Type: non copyright image ______.

E. Have a Bibliography section where you list atleast 2 resources you used to complete the assignment.
F. Have a Links section Where you have one or twolinks to other web sites with information on your
topic.
g. Use a simple background color and clear color for text. The page must be readable.
H, You can use the scanner in class to scan an image you created for your project.
